Hydraulic shears are designed for straight cutting steel plate. They use a set of four sided matched knives to shear the metal plate ranging from thin gauge to upwards of ¾” thick. The idea of shearing seems simple, but the forces of compression and then fracture of a steel edge require an in depth understanding of the process in order to produce a clean quality edge.
- 20’-0” x ¾” Mild steel thickness capacity
- 16’-0” x ½” Mild steel thickness capacity
- 12’-0” x 3/8” Mild steel thickness capacity
An Ironworker is a multi-purpose machine used to shear, notch, and mitre cut angle iron, round bars, and flat bar. It is also designed to punch holes. This process also uses controlled compression and then fracture to cut steel, therefore the operator must have an understanding of how various material types react in order to safely work with this machine.
A horizontal bandsaw is used to cut all types of structural shapes. This provides for custom cutting and processing structural parts for our customers.
